Pat Endicott
As a volunteer myself, with over 30 years experience as both as a salaried member of staff and as a volunteer, I understand how the charitable or voluntary sector 'ticks'. As a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, with qualifications in both general and strategic management, I have been able to lead a number of key projects for different charities. I am able to draw on a wide range of experience in the charity/voluntary sector and would be delighted to assist any organisation with their training and/or fundraising needs. Whether you are looking for assistance with strategic planning, governance, time management or training for either individuals or the organisation as a whole, I believe I am well-placed to help you and will offer you an excellent value-for-money service.

I am, at present, a Director/Trustee/Treasurer for the International Stress Management Association, and an Associate Committee member of Thyroid UK and maintain an interest in other voluntary organisations.

Professionally, I worked for many years as a First Aid Trainer with St John Ambulance, and then sought to combine practical experience in training and development with essential knowledge of how people learn by completing two degrees at Master level; firstly in Professional Studies in Education, and later in Training and Development. For nine years I was jointly responsible for the training and assessment of St. John Ambulance trainers within Northamptonshire, and helped to run their own City and Guilds Assessment Centre. I was also a volunteer member of St John Ambulance for over ten years including time spent as a Divisional Officer, County Staff Officer (Youth) and later as Deputy County Commissioner and finally as County Commissioner.

I then became Manager of Citizens Advice Bureau in East Northamptonshire where I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation securing funds from local government as well as grant-making Trusts and Charities. Whilst at ENCAB I completed the Institute of Fundraising's professional qualifications and have been helping other small local charities on a voluntary basis, most recently a small theatre company that provides a traditional pantomime which they take round to villages and towns. There is great satisfaction in working as part of a team to raise the resources needed by voluntary and charitable organisations. I am delighted to have helped Thyroid UK raise almost £10,000 funding to complete and equip the log cabin that is to serve as their new headquarters. Heartlands Mediation, a Wellingborough based neighbourhood mediation service using volunteers, recently benefitted from almost £3,500 of funding for new furniture and computer equipment.

In 2006/07 I worked as the Volunteers' Co-ordinator for the Chartered Accountant Benevolent Association's and also designed their highly successful 'Stress Management and Well-being Course' in response to high levels of Stress in the Accountancy profession. The course brought together theoretical understanding of the physiology of stress with practical exercises to assess current levels of stress and to foster a positive lifestyle and good relaxation techniques and became immensely popular within the profession.

In 2007 I decided that I wished to return to my roots in the voluntary sector and started my own company with a view to helping charities and voluntary sector organisations obtain a quality service at a price they CAN afford.

There is nothing more satisfying than helping a charity or voluntary organisation to achieve its dreams, and in doing so enable them to carry out wonderful work in their community.
